Maria Mika Maxine Perez Medina-Llana (born May 10, 1990) is a talented Filipina designer, actress, and model. She is famous for winning the title of Miss Universe Philippines 2016. She then represented the Philippines in the Miss Universe 2016 pageant. Maxine made it to the top six finalists in that global competition. As an actress, she is well-known for her role as Blaire Escudero in the TV series Magandang Dilag.

Early Life and School
Maria Mika Maxine Perez Medina was born on May 10, 1990. Her hometown is Quezon City, which is in Metro Manila, Philippines. She studied interior design at two schools. These were the De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde and the Philippine School of Interior Design. Today, she works as an interior designer. Pageant Journey
Binibining Pilipinas 2016 Win
Maxine Medina joined the Binibining Pilipinas 2016 pageant. This big event was held on April 17, 2016, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City. She won the main title, becoming Miss Universe Philippines 2016. She also received a special award called Miss Philippine Airlines.
Representing the Philippines at Miss Universe 2016
After winning Binibining Pilipinas, Maxine went on to represent her country. She competed in the Miss Universe 2016 pageant. She performed very well and reached the top six finalists.
National Costume and Walk
For the national costume part of the competition, Maxine wore a special outfit. It was designed by Rhett Eala. The design was inspired by the vinta, which is a traditional boat from Mindanao. Her headpiece looked like a large piece of coral from the Philippines' reefs. This amazing costume was very expensive to make. It was decorated with beautiful south sea pearls.
During the preliminary competition, Maxine showed off her unique "alta walk." This walk involved moving her shoulders perfectly with her hips. She wore a green and white striped bikini for the swimsuit part. For the evening gown competition, she wore a flowing green gown with a fringe skirt, also by Rhett Eala.
Coronation Night Performance
On the final coronation night, Maxine made it into the top 13. She wore the same green and white striped bikini for the top 13 swimsuit competition. Her performance helped her advance to the top 9. For the top 9 evening gown competition, she wore a silver-red gown. This gown was also made by Rhett Eala. She then moved on to the top six finalists.
Acting Career
In 2018, Maxine started her acting career on television. Her first role was Atty. Georgette Sandiego in Hanggang Saan. She later played Isay in the series Los Bastardos. This show ran from October 2018 to September 2019. In the series, she acted alongside Jake Cuenca.
In 2020, she joined two different TV networks. She appeared in Sunday 'Kada on TV5 Network. She also played Lorraine in First Yaya on GMA Network.
