History of McCollum
McCollum got its name from the McCollum family. They were some of the very first people to settle and live in this area.
A long time ago, from 1903 to 1909, McCollum even had its own post office. This was a place where people could send and receive mail.
Today, McCollum is known as the spot where two important roads meet. These roads are State Route 69 and State Route 124.
