McFaddin is located about 18 miles southwest of the city of Victoria. A railroad track runs right through the community. In the year 2000, about 175 people lived in McFaddin. Before that, in 1990, there were about 300 residents.
History of the Community
This community wasn't always called McFaddin! From 1906 to 1923, it was known as Marianna. The name "McFaddin" came from James A. McFaddin, who was a veteran of the American Civil War. He was an important person in the area's history. Today, McFaddin has three special markers from the Texas Historical Commission. These markers tell stories about the community's past.

McFaddin is situated near the San Antonio River. This river is an important natural feature in the region. The community is also located along Farm to Market Road 445, which helps connect it to other places.
