Meet the Characters
Measle Stubbs: The Hero
- Measle Stubbs (also known as Sam Lee Stubbs) - He is the main character of the story. Measle is a thin 10-year-old boy with a unique haircut. His nickname, 'Measle,' is a clever mix-up of the letters in his real name, Sam Lee. His old guardian, Basil Tramplebone, came up with it.
Measle's Loyal Friends and Family
- Tinker - This is Measle's loyal dog. Tinker has helped Measle get out of tricky situations many times!
- Sam Stubbs - Measle's dad is a wizard. While he can do magic, he isn't the most powerful wizard around.
- Lee Stubbs - Measle's mom is very special. She is a "manafount." This means she can't cast spells herself, but she has an endless supply of "mana." Mana is the energy that magicians use to perform their spells. Her husband can use her mana by holding her hand.
The Newest Family Member
- Matilda Stubbs - This is Measle's adorable baby sister.
The Powerful Mallockee
- Mallockee - This is a very strong and dangerous force. Unlike other magic users, a Mallockee doesn't need to say a spell out loud to make magic happen. Just like manafounts, Mallockees also have an unlimited supply of mana.
