Mehdi Torabi (Persian: مهدی ترابی; born on September 10, 1994) is a professional footballer from Iran. He plays as a winger for the Persian Gulf Pro League club Tractor. He also plays for the Iran national team.

Mehdi Torabi has played for several clubs during his career, showing his skills as a winger.
Starting at Saipa
Mehdi Torabi began his football journey in the youth teams of Saipa. He was promoted to the main team in 2012. He played his first game in the Persian Gulf Cup during the 2013–14 season. His great performances quickly caught the eye of the national team coaches.
Time with Persepolis

On July 1, 2018, Torabi signed a three-year contract with Persepolis, a major club in Iran. He was loaned back to Saipa for a short time. This was because Persepolis had a ban on signing new players. By December 16, 2018, Torabi officially joined Persepolis and was given the number 9 jersey.
He scored his first goal for Persepolis on April 13, 2019, in a 3–2 win against his former club, Saipa. In 2024, he decided to move to a new team. He explained that he wanted to improve his mental well-being, not just earn more money.
Joining Tractor
On July 10, 2024, Mehdi Torabi moved to Tractor, another club in the Persian Gulf Pro League.
Playing for His Country: Iran
Mehdi Torabi has proudly represented Iran at different levels of international football.
Youth National Team
He was part of the Iran U23 squad. He played in the 2016 AFC U-23 Championship. In that tournament, he scored his first goal against China with a powerful free kick from about 30 yards away.
Senior National Team
Torabi made his debut for the senior Iran national team on June 11, 2015. He scored the only goal in a friendly match against Uzbekistan. A few months later, on September 3, 2015, he scored again in a big 6–0 victory over Guam. In May 2018, he was chosen for Iran's team for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. He also played in the 2019 AFC Asian Cup and was part of the team for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Public Support
Mehdi Torabi has publicly shown his support for the leaders of Iran. He has worn shirts with messages of support. He also expressed a wish to give a football as a gift to Iran's Supreme Leader.
