Mehdi Torabi (Persian: مهدی ترابی) is a professional footballer from Iran. He was born on September 10, 1994. Mehdi plays as a winger, which means he plays on the sides of the field. He currently plays for Persian Gulf Pro League club Tractor and is also a member of the Iran national team.

Club Career Highlights
Mehdi Torabi has played for several important clubs in his career. He is known for his speed and skill on the field.
Starting with Saipa
Mehdi began his football journey at a young age with Saipa. He moved up through their youth teams. In the summer of 2012, he joined the main team. He played his first game in the Persian Gulf Cup during the 2013–14 season. His good performances even led to him being called up to the national team.
Time with Persepolis

On July 1, 2018, Mehdi Torabi signed a three-year contract with Persepolis, a very popular club. Because Persepolis had a transfer ban at the time, he was loaned back to Saipa for the first half of the season. He officially joined Persepolis in December 2018 and wore the number 9 jersey.
Mehdi scored his first goal for Persepolis on April 13, 2019, in a 3–2 win against his former club, Saipa. He played for Persepolis until 2020, then moved to Al-Arabi in Qatar, and returned to Persepolis in 2021. He played for Persepolis again until 2024.
In the summer of 2024, Mehdi decided to move to a new team. He explained that he wanted to improve his mental well-being, not just earn more money.
Joining Tractor
On July 10, 2024, Mehdi Torabi joined Tractor, another club in the Persian Gulf Pro League. He continues to play as a winger for them.
International Career
Mehdi Torabi has represented Iran at both youth and senior levels.
Playing for Youth Teams
Mehdi was invited to join the Iran U23 training camp. He was part of the squad for the 2016 AFC U-23 Championship. In that tournament, he scored his first goal against China with a powerful shot from 30 yards away.
Playing for the Senior Team
He made his first appearance for the senior Iran national team on June 11, 2015, in a friendly match against Uzbekistan. He scored the only goal in that game, helping Iran win 1–0. Later that year, on September 3, 2015, he scored again in a big 6–0 victory against Guam. In May 2018, he was chosen for Iran's team that went to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Personal Life
Mehdi Torabi has publicly shown support for his country's government. In 2019, he displayed a message of support during a match.
