Eshtehard (Persian: اشتهارد) is a city in Iran. It is located in the Alborz Province. Eshtehard is the main city, or capital, of both Eshtehard County and its Central District.

Eshtehard is a city in Iran. It is the capital of its county and district. This means it is an important center for the area.
Who lives in Eshtehard?
Most people in Eshtehard belong to two main groups. These are the Tat and Azerbaijani ethnic groups. They speak the Tati language and Azerbaijani.
How many people live there?
In 2006, about 17,000 people lived in Eshtehard. They lived in around 4,800 homes. By 2016, the city had grown. The population was nearly 30,000 people. There were about 9,300 homes.
Eshtehard used to be part of Karaj County in Tehran Province. Later, Alborz Province was created. Eshtehard became part of this new province. In 2012, Eshtehard County was formed. Eshtehard city became its capital.

Eshtehard has some interesting places to visit. One important place is the Eshtehard Industrial Town. This is a special area where many factories and businesses are located.
Another notable place is the University of Payam-e Nur—Eshtehard Unit. This is a university campus. Students can go there to study and learn.
