Meir Einstein started his career as a news anchor at Kol Yisrael, which is a radio station. He soon moved into the world of sports, which he loved. He began broadcasting sports events for the Sports Department of Channel 1.

Meir Einstein became the voice for many important sports events. He broadcast the main soccer games played on the Sabbath. He also covered the basketball games of Maccabi Tel Aviv when they played in Europe. He was also the voice for Israel's national soccer and basketball teams.
Moving to Channel 10
In 2002, Meir Einstein moved to Channel 10 to continue his sports broadcasting. There, he broadcast national team and Premier League soccer matches. This condition meant he needed to use a wheelchair, and his speech became slower. The Jerusalem Post later reported that he was suffering from muscular dystrophy.
