Melanie Wade Goodwin (born July 22, 1970 – died September 1, 2020) was an American politician. She served in the North Carolina House of Representatives for the 66th district. She was a member of the Democratic Party. Melanie Goodwin made history as the first person in the North Carolina General Assembly to give birth while holding office.
