Melinda Patrice Clarke (born April 24, 1969) is an American actress. She is famous for her roles in several TV shows. These include Faith Taylor on the soap opera Days of Our Lives and Julie Cooper on the teen drama The O.C.. She also played Lady Heather on the crime show CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Amanda on the action series Nikita.

Early Life and Family
Melinda Clarke grew up in Dana Point, California. Her father, John Clarke, was also an actor. Melinda has two siblings. Sadly, her sister passed away in 1994 from a heart illness.

Early Roles and Guest Appearances
She first appeared on Days of Our Lives as Faith Taylor. Her father was already a cast member on that show. Melinda also starred in the TV series Soldier of Fortune, Inc. from 1997 to 1999.
She made guest appearances on popular shows like Xena: Warrior Princess, where she played an Amazon leader named Velasca. She was also on Firefly and Charmed. She appeared multiple times on CSI as Lady Heather. In an episode of Seinfeld, she played Jerry's girlfriend. In 1993, she had a main role in the horror movie Return of the Living Dead 3.

Starring in The O.C.
One of Melinda Clarke's most well-known roles was Julie Cooper in the teen drama series The O.C.. This show aired on the Fox network from 2003 to 2007.
Her character, Julie Cooper, was often seen as tricky and self-centered. However, she also showed a softer side sometimes. Melinda was originally a guest star, but fans loved her character so much that she became a regular cast member. Julie Cooper became a very important part of the show's stories.
In 2009, Entertainment Weekly magazine listed Julie Cooper as one of the top TV characters. In 2021, Vogue magazine praised Julie Cooper's fashion sense on the show. They said she was "underrated" and "commands every single room she walks into."
Other TV Shows and Voice Acting
Melinda Clarke also appeared as herself in the HBO comedy-drama series Entourage. She played Blithe Meacham in the TV movie She Drives Me Crazy in 2007.
She had guest roles in several other TV shows, including Chuck, Reaper, and Ghost Whisperer. In 2010, she appeared on The Vampire Diaries as Kelly Donovan. Critics praised her acting in this role.

From 2010 to 2013, Melinda Clarke played a main role in The CW's action drama series Nikita. She played Helen "Amanda" Collins, who was the main bad guy in the show's later seasons.
Melinda has also lent her voice to animated projects and video games. She voiced Alexa in The Animatrix: Matriculated and Sofia Ivanescu in the video game Mission Impossible: Operation Surma. She was also the voice of Madame Macmu-Ling in Avatar: The Last Air Bender and Charlene in King of the Hill.

Melinda Clarke was married to Ernie Mirich from 1997 to 2005. They have one daughter, who was born in 2000. In September 2015, Melinda married Adam Farmer in Dana Point, California.
