Rachel Sarah Bilson (born August 25, 1981) is an American actress. She grew up in a family connected to the entertainment industry. Rachel first appeared on television in 2003. She became well-known for playing Summer Roberts in the TV show The O.C.
Rachel Bilson also starred in movies like The Last Kiss (2006) and the science-fiction action film Jumper (2008). From 2011 to 2015, she played Dr. Zoe Hart in Hart of Dixie, another popular TV series.

Rachel Bilson was born in Los Angeles, California. Her mother, Janice Stango, is a therapist, and her father, Danny Bilson, is a writer, director, and producer. Rachel has an older half-brother and two younger half-sisters. Her mother is Italian-American, and her father is Jewish. Rachel has shared that she grew up in a home that celebrated both Christian and Jewish traditions.
Rachel's family has a long history in show business. Her grandfather, Bruce Bilson, is a producer and director. Her British great-grandfather, George Bilson, worked for RKO Pictures, managing the movie trailer department. Her great-grandmother, Hattie Bilson, was a screenwriter.
Acting Career Highlights
Rachel Bilson attended Grossmont College and decided to pursue acting, following her father's advice. She started by appearing in several commercials for brands like Subway and Pepto-Bismol.
