How It Started

Moving and Changing

In 1967, the hospital moved to a new building. This new location helped it serve more people. Later, in 2010, the hospital joined a larger group. It became part of the Saint Alphonsus Health System. This system runs many hospitals.

The Hospital Closes

Mercy Medical Center closed its doors in 2017. The medical services moved to newer facilities. These new buildings were also part of the Saint Alphonsus system. The old hospital building was taken down. Demolition started in December 2019.
