Mesegal is a very small village, sometimes called a hamlet. It is also known as an alqueria. Mesegal is located in the municipality of Pinofranqueado, within the Cáceres province, in the region of Extremadura, Spain. As of 2020, only about 30 people live there.
An alqueria is a special kind of small settlement. It often started as a farm or a group of houses. This type of settlement was common in parts of Spain during the time when Moors ruled the area.
