About Metcalfe
Metcalfe is known for a few things. The WCTV Tower, which is the tallest structure in all of Georgia, is located very close to the village. You can also find a lumberyard on the main highway, which is a place where wood is stored and sold.

There are two churches in Metcalfe: Friendship Baptist Church and Metcalfe Methodist Church. Friendship Baptist Church is quite old. It was started in 1848, about two miles outside of where Metcalfe is now. Later, in 1890, the church moved to its current spot.
