Mia Frye (born 12 February 1965) is an American actress, singer, professional dancer, and dance choreographer. She is famous for creating the dance moves for popular music videos.
Mia Frye is best known for choreographing the dance routine for the hit songs "Alane" by Wes and "Macarena" by Los del Río. Many people around the world have danced to her creations!

Early Life and Career
Mia Frye was born in New York City. When she was 12, she moved to France with her mother, Radiah Frye, who was a model. In Paris, Mia joined a dance school in the Marais district. Just three years later, she became a dance instructor there!
In the late 1970s, Mia started appearing on French television shows. When she was 17, she met director Luc Besson. He asked her to create choreography for a music video by Serge Gainsbourg called "Mon légionnaire."
Becoming a Dance Star
Mia became very well-known after she choreographed and appeared in the music video for Los del Río's famous song "Macarena". She wanted to make sure that anyone, even a child who felt they had no rhythm, could do the Macarena dance. She also created the dance for Wes Madiko's song "Alane" and appeared in that music video too.
In 1998, Mia was the main choreographer for a big comeback show by French pop singer Sheila at the Olympia concert hall in Paris.
Reality TV Appearances
Mia Frye has also been a part of several French reality television shows.
- In 2001, she was a coach on the first season of the French version of Popstars. On this show, she helped guide the girl band L5.
- In 2004, she participated in La Ferme Célébrités. This was another reality show where celebrities competed to raise money for charity.
- She returned to French Popstars in 2007 for its fourth season. This time, she was the official choreographer and mentor for the show.
- In 2012, Mia was a judge on a show called Encore une chance. This show, whose title means "Another Chance," looked for the best voices from past reality TV shows.
