Michael Owen Ashton, born on March 23, 1982, is a talented makeup artist and hairstylist from New Zealand. He's also a beauty expert and has even started his own brand! You might know him best as the person who did the makeup for the famous singer Adele for many years. He also worked with a big beauty company called Marc Jacobs Beauty. Today, Michael runs his own makeup brand, Michael Ashton Beauty.

Michael Ashton's Early Life
Michael Ashton was born in Hamilton, New Zealand. When he was just nine years old, he found his mom's makeup kit. He loved playing with the eyeshadow and hot rollers. He even convinced his grandmother to let him do her makeup backstage! This was when she performed with his famous uncle, Sir Howard Morrison.
Michael went to Katikati Primary School, Waimata Primary School, and Bethlehem College. He taught himself how to do makeup by reading a book called 'Making Faces' by Kevyn Aucoin.
Later, he trained at Servilles Academy of Hairdressing. He then worked at a fancy salon in Auckland. After that, he started styling hair for photo shoots and fashion shows. He also spent time in New York. There, he worked with the MAC Cosmetics Pro Team. He also helped with fashion shows across Europe.
Michael Ashton's Career Journey
Michael Ashton started working with celebrities when music groups like Girls Aloud and Jamelia visited New Zealand. He then traveled to New York. There, he worked with the M.A.C. Pro team and Gordon Espinet. In 2006, he moved to London. He helped famous makeup artist Dick Page with fashion shows in the UK and Europe. A friend helped him connect with Bianca Jagger and Elle McPherson. Soon, he started focusing on makeup for red carpet events.
In 2007, Michael met the singer Adele through a friend. This was right before her first album, 19, came out. Michael then became Adele's personal makeup artist. He worked with her for 12 years!
