Girls Aloud was a very popular British girl group. They were formed in 2002 on a TV show called Popstars: The Rivals. The group had five members: Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts, and Kimberley Walsh.

Girls Aloud became one of the most successful pop groups in the UK during the 2000s. They had an amazing twenty songs in a row that reached the Top 10 on the music charts. Four of these songs even reached number one! They also sold over 4.3 million records in the UK. The group won a Brit Award in 2009 for their song "The Promise". The Guinness Book of World Records even called them "the most successful reality TV group of all time." Girls Aloud announced they were splitting up in March 2013.
