Nadine Elizabeth Louise Coyle (born on June 15, 1985) is a famous Irish singer. In 2002, she became a member of Girls Aloud. This popular pop girl group was formed on the TV show Popstars: The Rivals.
Girls Aloud became very successful. They had 20 songs in a row reach the top ten in the UK. Four of these songs went all the way to number one! They also had two number one albums. The group won a BRIT Award in 2009 for their song "The Promise".
In 2010, Nadine Coyle released her first solo album, Insatiable. She also released the song "Insatiable". Later, in 2017, she released the song "Go to Work". She then released her first EP (a mini-album) called Nadine.

Early Life and Talent
Nadine Coyle was born in Derry, Northern Ireland. Her parents, Lillian and Niall Coyle, noticed her singing talent very early. She was only two years old when she sang "Saturday Night at the Movies".
Nadine wasn't very interested in school, but she still got good grades. She made a demo CD with her singing. This CD included songs like "Fields of Gold" and "Somewhere Over the Rainbow".
Career Highlights
Starting in Pop Music: 2001
While studying at Thornhill College in 2001, Nadine tried out for the Irish TV show Popstars. One of the judges was Louis Walsh. She won a spot in a band called Six.
However, it was later found out that Nadine had lied about her age. She was 16, but the show required contestants to be at least 18. She returned to school in Derry.
Becoming a Star with Girls Aloud: 2002–2009
Louis Walsh encouraged Nadine to try out for Popstars: The Rivals. This was a British TV show that aimed to create a new boy band and a new girl group. These groups would then compete to have the Christmas number one song.
Thousands of people auditioned. Ten girls and ten boys were chosen as finalists. They performed live each week. After Nadine sang "Fields of Gold", the judges were very impressed.
On November 30, 2002, Nadine joined Cheryl Tweedy, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts, and Kimberley Walsh. Together, they formed the new girl group Girls Aloud. The public voted for them to win.
Their first song, "Sound of the Underground", quickly reached number one. It became the Christmas number one song in 2002. Girls Aloud set a record for reaching number one so quickly after forming.
The group released their first album, Sound of the Underground, in May 2003. It sold many copies. Other songs like "I'll Stand by You" and "The Promise" also hit number one. Their albums The Sound of Girls Aloud and Out of Control also reached the top of the charts.
Girls Aloud was known for their unique pop sound. They often mixed in electropop and dance-pop. They worked with a team called Xenomania, who helped them create innovative pop music. The group became one of the most successful reality TV acts. Guinness World Records even recognized them as the "Most Successful Reality TV Group". They were also the UK's best-selling girl group of the 21st century.
Solo Music and Girls Aloud Reunion: 2009–2013
In 2009, Girls Aloud decided to take a break. Nadine then planned to release her own music. She worked with famous songwriters and producers. She even used GarageBand to create song ideas.
Her first solo song was "Insatiable". It had an "80s feel" and a "guitar-led sound." The song reached number twenty-six in the UK charts.
In November 2012, Girls Aloud got back together to celebrate their tenth anniversary. They released a new song called "Something New". This song also helped raise money for Children in Need. The group then released another album of their greatest hits, Ten.
Nadine and the group went on a tour called Ten: The Hits Tour in 2013. After the tour, Girls Aloud announced they were splitting up.
New Projects and Music: 2015–Present
In 2014, Nadine Coyle started working with Brian Higgins again. She also recorded a duet with Shane Filan from the band Westlife. Their song was called "I Could Be". They performed it together for Children in Need.
In 2017, Nadine signed a new record deal. She released the song "Go to Work". In 2018, she released a four-song EP called Nadine.
Nadine planned a tour in the UK and Ireland in 2018. However, the tour was cancelled. She said it was becoming "impossible to achieve" what they wanted.
In 2019, Nadine released a summer song called "Fool for Love". She also announced another song, "All That I Know," which came out in 2020.
In October 2022, Nadine sang a cover of the Cranberries' song "Zombie". It was voted the number one Irish song of all time by radio listeners. Her performance received great reviews.
In July 2023, Nadine attended the premiere of the Barbie movie. She also released a new song, a cover of Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars," titled "If I Lay Here (Chasing Cars)".
In May and June 2024, Nadine reunited with her Girls Aloud bandmates. They went on an arena tour called The Girls Aloud Show. This tour was in memory of their bandmate Sarah Harding, who had passed away.
Other Activities
Nadine Coyle has appeared in several TV shows. These include documentaries about Girls Aloud like Girls Aloud: Home Truths and Girls Aloud: Off the Record. She also appeared in a special TV show called The Girls Aloud Party.
In 2008, Nadine and her Girls Aloud bandmates wrote a book. It was called Dreams that Glitter - Our Story. The book shared unseen photos and stories about their lives and success.
As part of Girls Aloud, Nadine also helped promote brands like Barbie, KitKat, and Samsung.
In 2009, Nadine visited her hometown of Derry. She helped break a record for planting the most trees in one hour. She also supports charities, including a children's hospice in Northern Ireland.
Nadine started her own record label, Black Pen Records. This label released her first solo album, Insatiable. In 2012, she was a guest judge on an episode of America's Next Top Model.
In 2019, Nadine took part in the TV show I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!. She finished in fifth place.
Personal Life
In 2006, Nadine Coyle moved to Los Angeles, California. She often traveled between the US and the UK for her music. While in Los Angeles, she opened an Irish pub restaurant called Nadine's Irish Mist in 2008. This allowed her family to live nearby and help run the business.
On August 15, 2013, Nadine announced she was expecting a child. She also confirmed she was back with her ex-fiancé, Jason Bell. Their daughter, Anaíya Bell, was born on February 10, 2014.
In 2015, after nine years, Nadine closed her restaurant and moved back to Northern Ireland. She wanted to raise her daughter there. She said running the restaurant was hard on her family. She also missed Northern Ireland.
Nadine and Jason Bell separated in 2019. Jason stayed in the United States. However, by 2021, they were living together in Northern Ireland. This allowed Jason to help raise Anaíya during the COVID-19 pandemic.
