Michael Cognata's Acting Journey
Michael Cognata studied theatre at the Boston Arts Academy. He graduated from there in 2006. In 2008, he started his acting career. His first TV appearance was in a national commercial for Subway.
Early Performances and Moving to Hollywood
Michael also performed with a poetry group called ARTiculation. The Boston Herald newspaper praised the group in 2009. They said the group's performance was very creative and exciting.
After that, Michael moved to New York City and then to Los Angeles. He wanted to find more roles in television. He got parts in several popular TV shows.
Notable TV Roles
One of his important roles was Julian Robbins in NBC's Chicago Fire. Julian was the brother-in-law of a fire chief named Wallace Boden. Michael also played Tito, an intern for a character named Lip, in Showtime's Shameless. He appeared in the Hallmark movie Romance at Reindeer Lodge in 2017.
