Michael Joseph Cognata (born May 5, 1988) is an American actor from Boston, Massachusetts. He is known for playing Julian Robbins in the TV show Chicago Fire and Tito in Shameless. Michael has also appeared in many other TV shows and films.

Michael's Acting Journey
Michael Cognata studied theatre at the Boston Arts Academy, graduating in 2006. In 2008, he started his acting career by appearing in a national TV commercial for Subway. He also performed with a poetry group called ARTiculation. The Boston Herald newspaper praised the group, saying their performance was so good it could make anyone believe in the power of art.
After his early success, Michael moved to New York City and Los Angeles to find more acting roles. He landed parts in popular TV shows like Chicago Fire (2018), where he played Julian Robbins. He also had a recurring role as Tito in Shameless (2016). In 2017, he appeared in the Hallmark movie Romance at Reindeer Lodge.
Michael has also performed on stage. In 2006, he represented his hometown at the famous Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland. There, he performed in a play called A More Perfect Union.
