Michael Kiessou is a talented singer and entertainer from Cameroon. His full name is Anacle Michael Ghounam Kiessou. He became well-known for his song Bennam, which was part of his first music collection called Partage. This collection came out on April 2, 2014.
Michael has won several awards for his music. He was nominated twice for the Canal 2'Or Act 10 Awards. He won the award for Best Video for his song Tourner les reins. He also won Best Male Artist at the GreenLights Awards in 2015.

Early Life and Music Beginnings
Michael Kiessou was born in Douala, a city in Cameroon. His family comes from the MiFi and Koung-Khi areas in the West Region of Cameroon. From a young age, Michael loved listening to different kinds of music, especially traditional rhythms from his home region.
He was inspired by famous Cameroonian artists like Sam Fan Thomas and Richard Bona. As he grew up and went through high school, he kept working on his musical talent. He often took part in school music competitions.
Michael's Career Journey
Starting in Radio and TV
After finishing his studies in communication at the University of Douala, Michael started working in radio. He trained at RTM Radio Douala, where he met Joyce Fotso. She helped him begin his career as a radio and TV host.
A couple of years later, he joined a TV channel called Canal 2 International. There, he hosted popular shows like Sweet Surfer on Sweet FM radio, Comptoir dafrik, and Urban list.
Beginning His Music Career
While working as a TV and radio host, Michael also decided to start his music journey. He worked with a local RNB singer named Edel Koula. Together, they released a song called Demoiselle. This song marked the start of Michael's music career.
In March 2013, he met a music producer named Philjohn. Philjohn was impressed and signed Michael to his record label, Hope Music Group.
First Music Collection: Partage
After joining Hope Music Group in 2013, Michael spent time in the studio creating new music. His first song with the label was Abele, released on July 17, 2013. This song was the first single from his debut music collection, Partage.
In the music video for Abele, Michael celebrated the lively traditions of the Littoral Region (Cameroon). He also paid tribute to Sam Fan Thomas's famous "Makassi dance." The video was made by NS Pictures and first shown on the Jambo show on Canal 2 International on July 28, 2013. It was then released on YouTube on August 3, 2013.

Tours and Live Shows
Wopalilo Live Tour
The Wopalilo Live Tour was Michael Kiessou's first big concert tour. It was announced in October 2014 and included 50 shows across 5 different parts of Central Africa. The tour started in Yaoundé, Cameroon, on December 18, 2014. It ended in Douala, Cameroon, on August 30, 2015.
The tour was named after his song "Wopalilo," which featured Cameroonian rapper C-prime. C-prime also made many guest appearances during the tour.
