Michelle Lynn Monaghan (born March 23, 1976) is an American actress. She is known for her roles in many popular movies and TV shows. Michelle has been nominated for important awards like a Golden Globe Award and a Saturn Award.
She has starred in films such as Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005), Gone Baby Gone (2007), and Source Code (2011). Many people also know her as Julia Meade in the Mission: Impossible action movies. She appeared in Mission: Impossible III (2006), Ghost Protocol (2011), and Fallout (2018).

Michelle Monaghan was born in a small town called Winthrop, Iowa. Her parents are Sharon and Robert Monaghan. Her father worked in a factory. She has two older brothers, Bob and John. Michelle grew up in a Catholic family with mostly Irish and German roots.
She finished high school at East Buchanan High School in 1994. After high school, she moved to Chicago to study journalism at Columbia College Chicago. While studying, she also started a career in modeling.
