Miffy and Friends (also known as nijntje en vriendjes in Dutch and Miffy und Freunde in German) is a fun animated TV show. It uses stop-motion animation, which means objects are moved slightly between each photo to make them look like they are moving. The show is based on the popular Miffy book series by Dutch artist Dick Bruna.
This series first aired from 2003 to 2007. You could watch it on KRO in the Netherlands, CITV in the United Kingdom, and Noggin in the United States.

What is Miffy and Friends About?
The show tells stories about a young rabbit named Miffy and her adventures. It's like reading a storybook, but on TV! A narrator, Cyd Vandenberg, explains what Miffy and her friends are doing. The characters themselves do not speak.
Who are the Characters?
- Miffy – She is the main character, a young rabbit. Miffy loves to draw and write.
- Snuffy the Dog – A brave brown dog and one of Miffy's best friends. Snuffy first appeared in the episode Miffy Meets Snuffy.
- Barbara – She is Boris Bear's girlfriend.
- Boris – A bear who lives near Miffy. Boris enjoys building different things.
- Poppy – A pig who often spends her time gardening or reading books. She has a niece named Grunty.
- Grunty – Poppy Pig's niece.

How to Watch Miffy and Friends
Home Video Releases
During the time the show was on TV, some episodes were put on VHS tapes. Later, the series also became available on DVD in America. These DVDs were released by Sony Wonder and Big Tent Entertainment. You could find select Miffy and Friends episodes on special themed DVD discs that came out in 2009.
Where it Aired
The show first premiered in the United Kingdom on CITV. In the United States, it was shown on Noggin. It also aired in Canada on Treehouse TV and in Australia on ABC Kids. Viewers in New Zealand could watch it on TV3. Since 2016, you can also stream the show on the Noggin app.
