Miguel Ángel Prieto Adanero (born September 20, 1964) is a race walker from Spain. He is famous for representing his home country at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, Spain. At these games, he finished tenth in the 20 km race walk.
Miguel Ángel was also a four-time Spanish indoor champion in the 5000 m walk. In 1990, he won the outdoor 20 km national title.

Early Career and First Medals
Miguel Ángel Prieto was born in Segovia, Spain. He started his international career at a young age. His first big event was the 1983 European Athletics Junior Championships. There, he placed fifth in the 10,000 m walk.
In 1985, he competed in the 1985 IAAF World Race Walking Cup, finishing seventh in the 20 km race walk. A year later, he won his first major international medal. He earned a bronze medal in the 20 km event at the 1986 European Athletics Championships. This helped him become one of Spain's top race walkers.
Olympic and World Championships
Prieto continued to compete at the highest level. He took part in the World Championships in Athletics in 1987 and 1991.
His second international medal came at the 1989 Summer Universiade. Here, he won a silver medal in the 20 km walk. He finished just behind Italy's Walter Arena.
The highlight of his career was competing at the 1992 Olympic Games in his home country. He finished a strong tenth place in the 20 km race walk.
Later Competitions
After a break, Miguel Ángel Prieto made a surprising return to competition at the age of 46. This was at the 2011 European Race Walking Cup. He competed in the 50 km event and finished 14th. He also helped his team win a bronze medal in the 50 km team event at the same competition.
