Miguel Galindo Garcés is a Spanish alpine skier. He is also a special guide for para-alpine skiers. He helps skiers who cannot see well. Miguel was the guide for Jon Santacana. Together, they won three medals at the 2002 Winter Paralympics. They also competed in many other big events. These included the European Cup, the World Cup, and World Championships.

Miguel's Skiing Career
Miguel Galindo is a sighted ski guide. He helps visually impaired skiers race down mountains. He was the guide for Jon Santacana for many years.
Early Success and Medals
In 2000, Miguel and Jon won a gold medal. This was at the World Championships held in Switzerland. Two years later, they competed at the 2002 Winter Paralympics. There, they earned one gold medal and two bronze medals.
European Cup and World Championships
Miguel won a gold medal for the whole 2006/2007 European Cup season. He had a knee injury the next year. But he still finished second in the 2007/2008 European Cup season. In 2009, he won another gold medal. This was at the World Championships in South Korea. Their first gold was in the super combined event.
Road to the 2010 Paralympics
In November 2009, Miguel prepared for the 2010 Winter Paralympics. He attended a special training event in Madrid. In January 2010, he competed in Austria. He and Jon won a bronze medal in giant slalom. They also competed in the European Cup in Spain.
At the final World Cup event in March 2010, they won a gold medal. This was in Aspen, Colorado. They also earned a bronze medal in giant slalom. This was their last big event before the 2010 Games.
2010 Winter Paralympics in Vancouver
Before the 2010 Vancouver Paralympics, Miguel and Jon were ranked second in the world. They were strong contenders in downhill skiing. They arrived in Whistler, Canada, by February 7.
Fog caused changes to their race schedule. But they still won a gold medal! This was in the men's vision impaired downhill event. It was the first gold medal for Spain at those Games. Miguel finished the 2010 Paralympics with one gold and two silver medals.
Continued Competitions and Wins
After the Paralympics, Miguel kept competing. In April 2010, he joined a Spanish national team competition. In the 2010/2011 season, he finished second at a World Cup event in Italy.
At the 2011 World Championships in Italy, he won first place. This was in the super G event. In 2012, he won gold medals in three events. These were slalom, giant slalom, and super G. He also won a World Cup giant slalom event in Italy. In January 2013, he won another gold medal. This was at a World Cup event in Switzerland.
