Miguel Jones Castillo (born October 27, 1938 – died April 8, 2020) was a Spanish football player. He was a midfielder who played for teams like SD Indautxu and Atlético Madrid in the 1950s and 1960s.

Miguel Jones's Football Journey
Miguel Jones was born in Spanish Guinea, which is now called Equatorial Guinea. He grew up in Bilbao, a city in Spain.
He started his football career with local teams. These included Barakaldo and Indautxu. At Indautxu, he played with other talented young players.
Jones later joined Atlético Madrid. This was a big step in his career. He became an important player for the team. Other famous players like Enrique Collar and Adelardo were also on the team.
Winning Cups with Atlético Madrid
Miguel Jones played in two Copa del Rey finals in a row. These were in 1960 and 1961. Atlético Madrid played against Real Madrid in both finals. Atlético Madrid won both times! In the 1960 final, Jones scored the first goal. His team won that game 3–1.
He also played in another Copa final in 1964. However, Atlético Madrid lost that game to Zaragoza.
Jones also played in European competitions. He played in two European Cup Winners Cup finals. These were in 1962 and 1963. In the 1962 final, he scored again. Atlético Madrid beat Fiorentina 3–0 after a replay match. But in 1963, his team lost 5–1 to Tottenham Hotspur.
Winning the League Title
In 1966, Miguel Jones helped Atlético Madrid win the La Liga title. This means they were the champions of the Spanish league.
In October 1967, Jones played for his last club, Osasuna, for one season.
Miguel Jones's Life After Football
After he stopped playing football, Miguel Jones went back to live in Bilbao. He became a director at his old club, SD Indautxu. This meant he helped manage the club from behind the scenes.
Jones was good friends with Luis Aragonés, who was a famous football manager.
Miguel Jones passed away on April 8, 2020. He was 81 years old. He died in Bilbao.
