Miguel Ângelo da Cruz Simão (born February 26, 1973) is a retired Portuguese professional footballer. He mainly played as a forward, which means his main role was to score goals for his team.

Miguel Simão's Football Journey
Miguel Simão started his football career in Porto, Portugal, where he was born. He grew up playing in the youth teams of Boavista FC, a local football club.
Early Professional Years
Simão began his professional journey in the Segunda Liga, which is Portugal's second-highest football league. He played for C.D. Nacional and then for C.D. Feirense. In the 1993–94 season, he moved up to the Primeira Liga, Portugal's top league, with S.C. Salgueiros. He played in 22 games that season and scored five goals.
Playing in Scotland
After spending a few more years mostly in Portugal's second league, Simão moved to Scotland in the summer of 1998. He joined a club called St Johnstone. His first game was on August 29, 1998, against Rangers at Ibrox Stadium. In his first year with St Johnstone, he played in 26 matches in the Scottish Premier League and scored four goals.
A year after joining St Johnstone, Simão scored two important goals. These goals came in a UEFA Cup match against Vaasan Palloseura. He came on as a substitute and helped his team win 2–0 at home.
Adventures in Japan and Return to Portugal
After his time in Scotland, Miguel Simão played for a few months in Japan for a team called Sanfrecce Hiroshima in the J1 League. After that, he returned to Portugal. He spent two and a half more seasons playing for different clubs, including Gil Vicente F.C., where he played in Portugal's top league again.
