Early Life and First Steps
Mike Hill grew up in both the Bronx, New York, and Bessemer, Alabama. After finishing high school, he joined the U.S. Air Force as a reservist. This means he was part of the military but also had a civilian job.
He started his career in television in 1995. His first job was as a sports director at WHAG-TV in Hagerstown, Maryland. Later that year, he became an anchor at KSEE-TV in Fresno, California.
Working in Sports News
From 1997 to 2000, Mike worked at WKRN-TV in Nashville, Tennessee. There, he covered high school football games. He even won two Emmy Awards for his work, which are big awards in television.
After Nashville, he moved to New York City. From 2000 to 2002, he was a host at Fox Sports Net. Before joining ESPN, he worked as a sports anchor at KXAS-TV in Dallas, Texas, from 2002 to 2004.
Time at ESPN
Mike Hill joined ESPN in 2004 and stayed there until 2013. ESPN is a very famous sports network. While at ESPN, he hosted a radio show called Hill and Schlereth with Mark Schlereth.

Mike Hill was married to Cynthia Bailey. She is a former model and a star from the reality TV show Real Housewives of Atlanta. They got engaged in July 2019 and were married on October 10, 2020. Mike often appeared on the show with her. Their marriage ended in 2022.
