Millbrook, Ohio facts for kids
Millbrook is a small place in Ohio, located in Wayne County. It is known as an "unincorporated community". This means it's a group of homes and businesses that doesn't have its own official local government like a city or town. Instead, it's usually managed by the larger county it's in.
How Millbrook Began
Millbrook started a long time ago, in the year 1829. This was when the area was "platted", which means its streets and building lots were officially mapped out and planned.
A very important part of the community back then was the post office. A post office named "Mill Brook" opened in 1829, the same year the community was planned. People could send and receive letters and packages there. This post office served the community for many years, until it closed down in 1902.
