Where is Millo Mountain?
Millo is part of the Vilcanota mountain range, which is a section of the larger Andes mountains. The Andes are the longest mountain range in the world. They stretch along the western side of South America.
Millo is found in two different regions of Peru. It is partly in the Cusco Region, specifically in the Canchis Province and Checacupe District. It is also partly in the Puno Region, in the Carabaya Province and Corani District.

Millo is located northwest of a very large area covered in ice called the Quelccaya Ice Cap. An ice cap is a huge dome-shaped mass of ice that covers a large area of land. The Quelccaya Ice Cap is the largest tropical ice cap in the world.
The name "Quelccaya" comes from the Quechua language. It means "snow plain." This ice cap is very important for scientists. They study it to learn about Earth's past climate.
