The Minister of Trade and Shipping (Norwegian: Handels- og sjøfartsministeren) was an important government leader in Norway. This person was in charge of the Ministry of Trade and Shipping. This ministry handled all matters related to Norway's buying, selling, and shipping activities.

The job was created on December 6, 1947. Before this, there was a single "Minister of Trade and Industry." This role was split into two separate jobs. One was for trade and shipping, and the other was for industry. For a short time between 1942 and 1945, there was also a special "Minister of Shipping." This person led the Ministry of Shipping.

The Minister of Trade and Shipping had its own ministry until 1988. After that, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs took over some of its duties. The position of Minister of Trade and Shipping was officially ended in 1997. Its responsibilities were then given back to the Minister of Trade and Industry.
