What are Castellers?
Castellers are a special tradition from Catalonia. It involves building human towers, sometimes very tall ones! People stand on each other's shoulders to form these towers. Each person has a specific role, from the strong base to the light children at the very top.
The goal is to build the tower and then take it down safely. It takes a lot of teamwork, balance, and strength. Casteller groups, like Minyons de Terrassa, practice a lot to make sure they can build these impressive structures.
Minyons de Terrassa's Amazing Achievements
Minyons de Terrassa has made history with their incredible human towers. They are known for pushing the limits of what's possible in the casteller world.
One of their biggest achievements happened on November 22, 2015. They became the very first group ever to successfully build and then safely take down a 4 de 10 amb folre i manilles. This is a very difficult tower, meaning it has 10 levels of people, with special support layers called folre and manilles. It was a huge moment in casteller history!
They have also built other very tall and complex towers, such as the 3 de 10 amb folre i manilles. These achievements show their dedication and skill.
Where Minyons de Terrassa Performs
