Miranda de Pencier started her career as an actress. One of her most famous roles was playing Josie Pye in the 1985 TV movie Anne of Green Gables. She also appeared in its follow-up movies. She had a regular role on the TV show Street Legal in 1989 and 1990. On stage, she performed in Canadian versions of popular musicals like Les Misérables.
