Miriam Melanie Bryant (born March 8, 1991) is a talented singer and songwriter from Sweden. She is known for her powerful voice and popular songs. In 2016, she made history by having the top three songs on the Swedish Svensktoppen music chart at the same time! This was a big deal because it hadn't happened since the chart started way back in 1962.
About Miriam Bryant
Miriam's father is British, and her mother is Finnish. She was born in Gothenburg, Sweden. Miriam started writing songs in 2011 with her childhood friend, Victor Rådström, who is a producer and songwriter.
Just four months later, she released her first three songs as a single called "Finders, Keepers" in March 2012. This song quickly became popular with music bloggers and websites around the world. Miriam signed with Warner Music in Sweden and Interscope Records in the United States.
Miriam has also worked with the famous music producer and DJ Zedd. Zedd first heard her music on German radio. He liked her song "Push Play" so much that he made a special remix of it for his album.
In 2013, Miriam released her first collection of songs in the United States, called the Push Play EP. An EP is like a mini-album with fewer songs than a full album.
In 2015, Miriam was one of eight artists who took part in a popular Swedish TV show called Så mycket bättre. On this show, artists sing their own versions of other artists' songs.
Her song "Black Car" became a huge hit in Sweden and was even named "Song of the Year" in 2016. In 2017, she was nominated for "Best Live Act" at the Swedish Grammis awards, which are like the Grammy Awards in Sweden.
In 2018, British music magazines praised her. Clash magazine called her music "Highly Intelligent and completely infectious." The Line of Best Fit wrote that "Miriam Bryant is your next pop superhero." That same year, she performed at big music events like Roskilde Festival and The Great Escape Festival.
In December 2019, Miriam helped host a TV and radio fundraising project called Musikhjälpen in Västerås, Sweden. She hosted it with Daniel Hallberg and Farah Abadi.
Miriam's album PS jag hatar dig (which means "PS I hate you") released in 2021 was her first studio album where she sang in Swedish. Before that, her songs were mostly in English. In 2024, she released her first song in Finnish, called "Mustelmilla (Mi Amor)".
