Mirjam Ott (born January 27, 1972, in Bern, Switzerland) is a retired Swiss curler. She lives in Laax, Switzerland. Mirjam was the captain, also called the "skip," of the Swiss Olympic Curling Team. She has taken part in many Olympic Games and won lots of awards in curling events all over the world.

Mirjam Ott's Curling Journey

Mirjam Ott is a very successful curler. She won two silver medals at the Winter Olympics. Her first silver medal was in 2002 at the Salt Lake City Olympics. For that event, she played with a team led by Luzia Ebnöther.

Olympic Success

In 2006, Mirjam Ott was the skip (captain) of her own team at the Turin Olympics. Her team also won a silver medal. This made her the first woman to win two Olympic medals in curling!

In 2008, her team won the European Championship in Sweden. At the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games, her team finished in fourth place.

World Champion

Mirjam Ott achieved a big win in 2012. She won the 2012 Ford World Women's Curling Championship. Her team beat Sweden's Margaretha Sigfridsson in the final game.

At the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games, Mirjam led her team to another fourth-place finish. They were beaten by Great Britain in the game for the bronze medal.
