Miroslava Šternová (born Miroslava Stanclová; 26 February 1926 – 9 March 1955) was a famous actress. She was born in Czechoslovakia and later became a Mexican citizen. She was known professionally as Miroslava Stern.

Life Story of Miroslava Stern

Miroslava Stanclová was born in Prague, Czechoslovakia, in 1926. This was a time between two big wars. Her father passed away when she was young. Later, she was adopted by Dr. Oskar Leo Stern. He was a doctor who studied how people's minds work. He married her mother, Miroslava.

The family had to leave their home country, Czechoslovakia, in 1939. They found safety in different countries in Scandinavia. In 1941, they moved to Mexico. Four years later, Miroslava's mother passed away from cancer.

Miroslava's Acting Career

Miroslava started her acting journey after winning a national beauty contest. She then began to study acting. She worked steadily in many films made in Mexico. This was from 1946 to 1955.

She also acted in three Hollywood movies during this time. One of her last films was Ensayo de un crimen. This movie was directed by the famous filmmaker Luis Buñuel. She finished filming it in 1955.

Miroslava passed away on March 9, 1955. This was soon after her last film was completed. The movie was released in May of that year.

Miroslava's Legacy

Miroslava's life story is very interesting. A writer named Guadalupe Loaeza wrote a short story about her. This story was later made into a Mexican film. The movie was called Miroslava and came out in 1992. The actress Arielle Dombasle played Miroslava in the film.
