Mirror Lake is a cool freshwater lake in Florida that looks a bit like the number eight! It's located right on the southern edge of the city of Lake Placid. This lake covers about 93.15 acres (38 ha), which is a pretty good size for a lake.
Even though Mirror Lake is near a city, the area around it is mostly quiet countryside. You'll find some houses built close to the lake on its south side. Just south of Mirror Lake, there's a road called Mirror Lake Drive, and beyond that, you'll find a much bigger lake also called Lake Placid.
Exploring Mirror Lake
Mirror Lake offers some public access along its southern shore. This means there are spots where you can go to enjoy the lake.
What Can You Do at Mirror Lake?
While Mirror Lake has public access, it doesn't have public boat ramps for launching boats or special swimming beaches. However, if you enjoy fishing, you can try your luck from the public access areas. Unfortunately, there isn't much information available about the different kinds of fish that live in Mirror Lake.
