Mishler, Ohio facts for kids
Mishler was once a small community, or "settlement," in Portage County, Ohio. It's not there anymore, but it used to be found in the southern part of Suffield Township. You would have found it along Mishler Road, just east of what is now Ohio State Route 43.
The Story of Mishler: A Look Back
The Mishler family first made their home in this area around the middle of the 1800s. This is how the settlement got its name. Later, in 1882, a post office was opened in Mishler. This post office helped people send and receive mail. It continued to operate for many years until it finally closed its doors in 1917.
