Dmitri Anatolevich Fomin (born January 17, 1974), known as Mitya Fomin, is a Russian singer, dancer, and music producer. He became famous as a member of the dance group Hi-Fi from 1998 to 2009. After leaving the group, he started a successful solo career.

Early Life and Beginnings
Mitya Fomin was born in Novosibirsk, Russia. His father, Anatoly Fomin, was a professor, and his mother, Tamara Fomina, was an engineer.
Time with Hi-Fi
Mitya Fomin moved to Moscow, where he met producer Eric Chanturia and composer Pavel Esenin. In 1998, they invited him to join their new music group, Hi-Fi. He joined with Oksana Oleshko and later Tatyana Tereshina.
During his time with Hi-Fi, Mitya worked on many songs. He also started writing and composing his own music. After more than 10 years with the band, he decided to leave in January 2009 to start his own music journey.
Solo Music Career
In March 2009, Mitya Fomin began his solo career. He worked with songwriter and producer Maxim Fadeev to release his first solo song, "Две земли" (Two Lands).
At the end of 2010, he released his first solo album, Так будет (meaning So It Will Be). This album featured his popular songs and other rhythmic, relaxing, and dance tracks. He also released the single "Перезимуем" (We'll Winter Through) with StuFF, and Mitya himself directed its music video.
He also had a dance hit song called "Огни большого города (Paninaro)" (City Lights). For this song, he worked with the famous group Pet Shop Boys. Another single, "Не манекен" (Not a Mannequin), featured Christina Orsa and was filmed in Hong Kong.
Other Projects
Besides singing, Mitya Fomin also directs music videos. He has directed many of his own videos and also videos for other artists, like Yena's "Эксбой" (Exboy). In 2011, he was part of a Russian reality television show called Жена напрокат.
