Robert Lawrence Horne, born on April 13, 1967, is an American professional wrestler. He is best known by his ring name, Mo, and later Sir Mo. He wrestled for the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) from 1993 to 1996. During this time, he won the WWF World Tag Team Championship. He won it with his tag team partner, Mabel, as part of their team called "Men on a Mission".
Mo's Wrestling Journey
Starting Out (1991–1993)
Robert Horne began his wrestling career in 1991. He soon teamed up with Nelson Frazier in a wrestling group called the Pro Wrestling Federation. They were known as "The Harlem Knights". Horne wrestled as "Bobby Knight" and Frazier as "Nelson Knight".
They pretended to be brothers and were managed by George South. This team won the PWF Tag-Team titles twice. In 1992, Horne also wrestled a couple of matches for the WWF.
Moving to USWA (1993)
In 1993, The Harlem Knights moved to the United States Wrestling Association (USWA). They were seen as a big, strong team because of their size. They had wrestling matches against popular wrestlers like Jerry Lawler and Jeff Jarrett. Their performances in both PWF and USWA caught the attention of the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). They signed a contract with WWF in mid-1993.
Time in the World Wrestling Federation (1993-1996)

When Horne and Frazier joined WWF, they changed their wrestling characters. They became good guys, known as "faces," with a rap theme. They wore bright clothes and had positive attitudes. They were joined by a rapping manager named "Oscar." Horne's name became "Mo," and Frazier's became "Mabel." Their team was called "Men On a Mission" (M.O.M.).
The team became popular because of Mabel's large size, their fun personalities, and Oscar's raps. They even appeared at Survivor Series 1993 dressed as clowns, called "Doinks on a Mission," for a funny match.
Winning the Tag Team Title
Their next big challenge was against the WWF Tag Team Champions, The Quebecers. They even won the titles during a tour in the United Kingdom. However, the Quebecers won the titles back just two days later.
Mo got a leg injury in April 1995 and was out of action until October. During this time, Mabel started wrestling more by himself. He was seen as a "special attraction" due to his size. Men on a Mission started teaming up regularly again in early 1995.
Becoming King Mabel and Sir Mo
In April 1995, after losing a match, Mabel and Mo attacked another team, the Smoking Gunns. They later apologized, but then attacked them again and also beat up their manager, Oscar. This made Mabel and Mo "heels" (bad guys) again.
Soon after, Mabel won the 1995 King of the Ring tournament. He became "King Mabel," and Mo became his loyal helper, "Sir Mo." The team's focus shifted to King Mabel, who challenged for the WWF Championship. Sir Mo acted more as a manager.
One of their last big matches was at In Your House 2, where they won against Razor Ramon and Savio Vega. Mo's last WWF match was in January 1996. Mabel and Mo's last appearance together in WWF was at the 1996 Royal Rumble. After this, they left the WWF.
After WWF: USWA and Independent Wrestling (1996-2007)
After leaving WWF, Mo and Mabel went back to the USWA. They wrestled against teams like The Moondogs. They stopped teaming up in June 1996.
Mo then became part of a wrestling group called the "original Nation of Domination." He was known as "Sir Mohammad" and had a new wrestling character. After this group ended, Mo continued to wrestle in the Memphis area as "Rob Harlem." He also started his own wrestling promotion called "Southern Extreme Wrestling."
In 2003, Bobby Horne returned to wrestling. He wrestled as "Marley Pride" and had a short rivalry with his former partner, Mabel. Mo also wrestled a few matches for other wrestling groups before retiring from wrestling in 2007 to become a truck driver. He also promoted wrestling shows in Tennessee from 2006 to 2009.
Later Career (2014-Present)
In 2014, Horne returned to wrestling. In May 2015, he teamed with Davey Boy Smith Jr. as "Sir Mo" for Ultimate Championship Wrestling in Canada. In July, he teamed with Lord Deon (Johnson) as "MOM2K." They won the UCW tag team titles on July 30 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Since January 2016, Robert Horne has been running SOAR Championship Wrestling in Dallas, Texas, with his wife, Denise Jones.
Mo's Personal Life
Robert Horne has faced some health challenges. In 2018, he had a kidney transplant. He needed to take special medicine for the rest of his life to prevent his body from rejecting the new kidney.
In January 2022, his health became more serious, and he needed a liver transplant. Doctors were worried his body might reject a new liver. He was also in the hospital's intensive care unit (ICU) battling COVID-19. By February 4, 2022, he was released from the hospital and moved to a medical rehab facility. He shared on social media that his kidneys had improved, and he no longer needed dialysis. He is still recovering his strength at home. Horne thanked his fans and his wife, Denise, for their support during his recovery.
