Early Life and Acting Start
Molly Quinn was born in Texarkana, Texas. When she was six years old, she performed in a local play of The Nutcracker. After that, she started taking acting lessons every week with a director named Martin Beck.
When she was in the sixth grade, Molly auditioned for the Young Actors Studio. She trained there for six months to improve her acting skills. After her training, she was signed by an acting agency, which helped her find professional jobs.
Career Highlights
Starring in Castle
From 2009 to 2016, Molly had a main role in the ABC show Castle. She played Alexis Castle, the daughter of the main character, Richard Castle. Her character was smart, responsible, and often helped her dad solve mysteries.
Voicing a Fairy in Winx Club
From 2011 to 2015, Molly was the voice of Bloom, one of the main fairies in the animated show Winx Club. When she first tried out for the part, she used a "cartoony" voice. However, the producers at Nickelodeon told her to just use her normal voice. They wanted the characters to sound like real girls. Molly also voiced Bloom in two movies based on the show.
Other Roles
In 2014, Molly lent her voice to a character named Fey in the popular podcast Welcome to Night Vale. Fey was a thinking computer in an episode called "Numbers".
