Mona Abou Hamze (Arabic: منى أبو حمزة) was born on October 2, 1972, with the name Abu Alwan. She is a famous Lebanese TV personality and presenter. Mona was born in Barouk, Lebanon, into a Lebanese Druze family. She is widely known for hosting the Lebanese TV show Talk of the Town on MTV. She started hosting this show in April 2009 and has welcomed over 2000 guests from many different backgrounds.

Mona Abou Hamze's TV Career

Mona Abou Hamze has been a part of several exciting TV projects. She was a judge on a show called Mouzii el Arab. This was a special TV show for the whole Arab region. It was created to find new TV presenters. The show first aired in 2015 on Abu Dhabi TV and Al Hayat TV station.

Abou Hamze also served as a judge on Celebrity Duets. This is the Arabic version of a popular singing competition. It was shown on MTV and MBC. On this show, she worked alongside famous musicians like Oussama Rahbani and Tarek Abou Jaoude, and later Simon Asmar.

In 2012, CEO Middle East magazine recognized Mona Abou Hamze as one of the ‘100 Most Powerful Arab Women’. This was a big honor. The next year, in 2013, she became the first Arab presenter to be officially invited to the Cannes Film Festival. This festival is a very famous event for movies from all over the world.

Personal Life

Mona Abou Hamze is married to Bahij Abou Hamze. They have two sons and one daughter together. Mona is a member of the Druze community.
