Monifa Carter (born January 28, 1972), known as Monifah, is an American R&B singer. She became well-known for her connection with the rapper Heavy D. Her popular songs from the 1990s include "I Miss You (Come Back Home)", "You", and "Touch It". "Touch It" was a big hit in 1998. Monifah also appeared on the TV show R&B Divas: Atlanta.
