The Mont du Midi is a mountain located in Quebec, Canada. Its name means "Midi Mount" in English. This mountain is found in the Les Etchemins Regional County Municipality, close to the town of Saint-Luc-de-Bellechasse. It is part of the Chaudière-Appalaches region.
Mont du Midi is also a part of the Massif-du-Sud Regional Park. This park is a great place for outdoor activities.
Where is Mont du Midi?
Mont du Midi is located south of the famous Saint Lawrence River. It stands tall at 916 meters (about 3,005 feet) above sea level. This makes it the highest point in the Massif du Sud area.
The mountain peak is about 20 kilometers (12 miles) north of Lac-Etchemin. It is also just 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) west of the Claude-Mélançon Ecological Reserve. Mont du Midi is the tallest peak between Mont Mégantic and the Chic-Choc Mountains.
