Montana's BBQ & Bar is a popular Canadian restaurant chain. It's famous for its delicious smoked pork ribs, steaks, and burgers. You might also know it as Montana's Cookhouse Saloon, which was its original name. The company's main office is in Vaughan, Ontario. It is part of a bigger company called Recipe Unlimited.

Where You Can Find Montana's

Montana's has many restaurants across Canada. There are about 105 locations in almost all Canadian provinces. You won't find them in Quebec or in Canada's three territories. Montana's used to have restaurants in the United States, in Michigan and New York. However, these locations closed down in 2009.

The Story of Montana's

Montana's Cookhouse first opened its doors in 1995. It started as a part of another restaurant chain called Kelseys Original Roadhouse. The idea for Montana's came from Paul Jeffery, who owned Kelsey's, and Nils Kravis, its president.

In 1999, a company called Cara Operations became the main owner of Kelsey's. This included the Montana's restaurant chain. Cara Operations later bought the rest of the company in 2002. Today, Cara Operations is known as Recipe Unlimited. Around 2015, the restaurants started changing their name to Montana's BBQ & Bar.

Loyalty Program

Montana's works with a loyalty program called Scene. This partnership began in February 2015. Loyalty programs let customers earn points when they buy food. These points can then be used for discounts or other rewards later on.
