History of Monte Buey
Monte Buey started as a small settlement in 1909. This was when the General Bartolomé Mitre railway built a new railway station. The station was named Monte de Buey.
In 1910, the railway station was the only building there. Over time, more people moved to the area. The small settlement slowly grew into the town we know today. By 2010, Monte Buey had a population of 6,285 people.
