Where is Monterrey Located?
Monterrey is found in the northern part of Costa Rica. It shares borders with different areas. To the north, it's next to Pocosol. To the south, you'll find La Fortuna and Tilarán. La Fortuna and Cutris are to the east, and Venado is to the west.
The main town of Monterrey is about 50.6 kilometers (an hour and 2 minutes drive) northwest of Ciudad Quesada. It's also about 142 kilometers (2 hours and 47 minutes drive) northwest of San Jose, which is the capital city of Costa Rica.
