Moomin (むーみん) (born July 13, 1972), also known as MOOMIN, is a Japanese reggae artist. He is famous for helping reggae music become popular in Japan. Moomin was born in Chigasaki, Kanagawa, Japan. He is married and has two children. He works at Overheat Studios, but he keeps his real name a secret.

Moomin's Music Journey

Moomin first started making reggae music in 1992. The very next year, he visited Jamaica, which is the birthplace of reggae music. His first official record deal was in 1997 with a company called Ki/oon Records.

Later, in 2003, he joined Universal Music Group. Since 2009, he has been with Knife Edge, which is part of Pony Canyon.
