Moore is a small community located in Spartanburg County, in the U.S. state of South Carolina. It is an unincorporated community, which means it doesn't have its own city government. Instead, it's part of the larger county.

Where is Moore Located?
Moore is found in the "Upstate" part of South Carolina. It is located south of the city of Spartanburg.
You can reach Moore easily by taking U.S. Route 221. It is also just one mile west of Interstate 26, a major highway.
Historical Places in Moore
Moore is home to two important historical houses. These buildings help us learn about the past.
One of these special places is Price's Post Office. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1969. This means it's recognized as a very important historical site in the United States.
Farming and Livestock
Moore is well-known for its Niven's Apple Farm. This farm is one of the biggest places that grows and sells apples in Spartanburg County.
Besides apples, corn is also an important crop grown here. For livestock, cattle are the main animals raised in Moore.
Fun and Entertainment
At one time, Moore was home to the music studio of the famous Marshall Tucker Band. Even though the studio is not used anymore, the building still stands. You can find it on Main Street, which is also South Carolina Highway 290, right next to the post office and the Presbyterian Church.
Moore was also where the Bruns Racing Team used to be. This team used to focus on car racing. More recently, they changed their focus to airplanes and scuba diving.

Moore has three schools that are part of the Spartanburg District 5 and 6 School system.
- R.D. Anderson Applied Technology and Vocational School: This school helps students from Byrnes, Dorman, and Woodruff High Schools learn technical skills.
- River Ridge Elementary: This is the newest elementary school in Spartanburg District 5.
- Anderson Mill Elementary School: This school is part of Spartanburg District 6.
- Dawkins Middle School: This middle school is also part of Spartanburg District 6.
