The Moose Hill Wildlife Sanctuary is a special place in Sharon, Massachusetts. It's a huge area of 1,971 acres (798 ha) where wild animals and plants are protected. This sanctuary is the oldest property owned by the Massachusetts Audubon Society, which started it way back in 1916. It's also right next to Moose Hill Farm, which is looked after by the Trustees of Reservations.

You can find the Moose Hill parking area and a nature center at 293 Moose Hill Street in Sharon. The nature center often has cool exhibits that change throughout the year. The sanctuary has many different kinds of natural areas. These include thick forests, wet marshes, open meadows, and interesting landforms like eskers and kettle holes. More than 160 different kinds of birds have been seen here! You can even find a bird checklist to help you spot them.

Fun Programs and Activities

Moose Hill offers many exciting programs for everyone. During the summer, there's an outdoor day camp for kids aged 3 to 14. It's a great way to explore nature and have fun outside.

For older visitors, there are different clubs and activities. For example, during the maple sugaring season, you can learn how to make maple syrup. Instructors show you the whole process, from tapping trees to making the sweet syrup.

Moose Hill has 25 miles (40 km) of trails that are perfect for hiking and exploring. These trails let you see all the different parts of the sanctuary. You can walk through forests, past wetlands, and discover amazing views.
