Moss Bank Park is a super cool park in Bolton, England. It's really big, about the size of 60 football fields! You can find open spaces, lovely woodlands, beautiful gardens, and lots of other fun things to do here.
Moss Bank Park is so good that it won a special award called the Green Flag Standard in 2008 and 2009. This award means it's one of the best parks in the UK. It's recognized alongside famous places like London Zoo and Alton Towers!
What Used to Be Here?
Did you know that Moss Bank Park used to have its very own small zoo? There was even a special house just for tropical butterflies! Imagine seeing all those colorful creatures flying around.
The park also has a historic tower. This tower was first built a long time ago by a person named John Horrocks Ainsworth. He used it as an observatory to look at the stars and planets! How cool is that?
