Mother Love, whose real name is Jo Anne Hart, was born on December 29, 1953. She grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, with five brothers and sisters. Her very first job was driving a school bus.

Mother Love began her journey in entertainment as a stand-up comedy performer. She started telling jokes and making people laugh in Columbus, Ohio.
